2、inmanydifferentways.ThefocusofthisstudylieswithintranslationofpersonalnsJnes,whichareasubclassofprop—ernouns.Notwithstandingthefactthatachallengethattranslatorsoftenencounterintheirworkcomesfrompersonalnames,thispaperpresentssometranslationtechniquesproposedbyv

3、ariousresearchersinthisregard.Itshouldbementionedthatthispaperdoesnotintendtoprescribeanyspecialrules.Findingsrevealedthattranslatorsmustbefamiliarwithcultureofboththesourceandtargetlanguages,sinceawarenessoftheseculture—boundnamescanleadtothemostappropriatetra
