1、AbstractWirelessnetworkswillcontainavarietyofwirelessaccesstechnologiesinthefuture,thesedifferentnetworkswithoverlappingareaarecalledheterogeneousnetworks(Hetnets).Asoneofthekeytechnologiesofheterogeneouswirelessnetworks,loadbalancingisasignificantmethodtoachievetheeffectiv
2、eresourceutilization,enlargesystemcapacity,andavoidnetworkcongestion.Thisthesismainlystudiesloadbalancingalgorithminheterogeneouswirelessnetworks.First,theheterogeneouswirelessnetworkarchitectureisbrieflyintroducedandthreearchitecturesofjointradioresourcemanagementarediscus
3、sed.Second,basedonthecurrentresearchofloadbalancingalgorithminheterogeneousnetworks,aloadbalancingalgorithmbasedonutilityfunctionsandfuzzylogicisdiscussed,thealgorithmcombinedthreeutilityfunctionswithfuzzylogicmethodtocompleteloadbalancing.Simulationresultsshowthatthefuzzyl
4、ogicloadbalancingalgorithmperformsmuchbetterthanthealgorithmwithoutloadbalancingandMLBalgorithmwithrespecttothesystemblockingprobability,averagetransmissiontimeandnetworkloadrate.Third,becauseofthediversityofservicesinheterogeneousnetworks,inordertoachieveloaduniformdistrib
