3、allationsaredesigned.Thesecondinvolvesmodernizationofalreadyexistingequipment.Inbothcases,thetechnicalsolutionsbeingadoptedmustbeproperlysubstantiatedwiththeuseofbothexperimentalandcalculationstudies.TheexperienceCentralBoiler-TurbineInstituteResearchandProductionAssociation(TsKTI)a
4、ndZiOspecialistsgainedfromoperationofboilersandexperimentalinvestigationstheycarriedoutonmodelsallowedthemtoproposeseveralnewdesignsofmultifuelandmaneuverable—inotherwords,controllable—furnacedevicesthathadbeenputinoperationatpowerstationsforseveralyears.Alongwiththis,anapproximatez
5、ero-one-dimensional,zonewisecalculationmodelofthefurnaceprocessinboilershadbeendevelopedattheTsKTI,whichallowedTsKTIspecialiststocarryoutengineeringcalculationsofthemainparametersofthisprocessandcalculatestudiesoffurnacesemployingdifferenttechnologiesoffiringandcombustionmodes.Natur
6、ally,furnaceprocessadjustmentmethodslikechangingtheairexcessfactor,stackgasrecirculationfraction,anddistributionoffuelandairamongthetiersofburners,aswellasotheroperationswrittenintheboileroperationalchart,areusedduringboileroperation.However,theeffecttheyhaveontheprocessislimitedinn
7、ature.Ontheotherhand,controlofthefurnaceprocessinaboilerimpliesthepossibilityofmakingsubstantialchangesintheconditionsunderwhichthecombustionandheattransferproceedinordertoconsiderablyexpandtherangeofloads,minimizeheatlosses,reducetheextenttowhichthefurnaceiscontaminatedwithslag,dec
