4、creasesandreachesavalueq=1.37KN/m,thetensileregionatthemid-spanwillbecrackedandthebeamwillfailsuddenly.Areinforcedconcretebeamifthesamesizebuthastosteelreinforcingbars(2φ16)embeddedatthebottomunderauniformlydistributedloadqisshowninFig.1.1(b).Thereinforcingbarstakeupthetensiontherea
5、ftertheconcreteiscracked.Whentheloadqisincreased,thewidthofthecracks,thedeflectionandthestressofsteelbarswillincrease.Whenthesteelapproachestheyieldingstressƒy,thedeflectionandthecrackedwidtharesolargeofferingsomewarningthatthecompressionzone.Thefailureloadq=9.31KN/m,isapproximately
