3、ndtrainingacademy.Ten(10)subject-matterexpertsparticipatedeachday.2.JOBANALYSIS:CONTENTOFTHEJOBAjobanalysisoftheEntry-LevelFirefighterclassificationwasconductedusingtensubject-matterexpertsonOctober16thfrom8:00a.m.to4:00p.m.ThejobanalysismethodusedwascalledGOJA™(GuidelinesOrientedJobAnalysis).Adr

4、aftfirefighterjobdescription(developedbyBiddle&Associates,Inc.,fromworkwithnumerousotherfiredepartments)wassubmittedtothesubject-matterexpertsfortheirindependentreview.Thedraftjobdescriptionwasaddedto,subtractedfrom,andmodifiedbythesubject-matterexpertstoaccuratelyrepresenttheduties,knowledge,ski

5、lls,abilities,physicalandothercharacteristicsthatarerequiredforsuccessfulperformanceofthefirefighterjob.ThefinalJobDescriptionreflectedtheopinionsofatleastsevenofthetensubject-matterexpertsthatparticipatedonOctober16th.Theworkbehaviorsandtheirassociatedtasks(calledduties)weregroupedintocommondoma
