3、inclinedplanethestressesatanypointin3-dimensionscausedbycontactforcebetweenrollsarediscussed．2)Themodelisestablishedtocalculatethemagnitudeofflatteningbetweenrollers．Firstly,theworkrollerandbackuprolleralecutintoslicesalongtheaxesofrollers．Andasliceiscutagainintost

4、ripelements．Secondly,theflatteningmagnitudeforeachstripelementiscalculatedbyusingtheformulawhichhasbeendeducedtocalculatethestressesatanypointinrollerbodies．Thirdly,thetotalmagnitudesofflatteningbetweenthetopworkrollerandthebottomworkroller,thetopworkrollerandtheto

5、pbackuprolleraleobtainedbythesummationofthemagnitudeofflatteningforallthestripelementbetweentheaxesofthetopworkrollerandthebottomworkroller,thetopworkrollerandthetopbackuproller．Finally,theresultsfromtheformulainthispaper,theresultsfromF6pplformulaandtheresultsfrom

6、experimentdonebyJMdeMulandH．vanEngelenburgarecomparedwitheachother．AndtheconclusionisgotthatthemagnitudeofflatteningbetweenrollerscalculatedbytheformulainthispaperisclosertotheexperimentaldatathanthatoftheF6pplformula．3)Therelationshipofthecontactforcebetweenroller
