5、hemodulationlevelandthebaudrateareincreased.Whatisunchangedistheavailablebandwidth.Consequently,themodulationindexisdecreasedandadditionaldifficul-tiesareimposedonthedesignofadirect-conversionreceiver.Themainproblemsare(1)therearenomaturedemodulationtechniquesavailableforzero-IFM-aryFSKsig

6、nals,and(2)thesignalcontainsstrongDC/low-frequencyenergyandhenceDCoffsetcancellationisnolongeraneasytask.Inthisdissertation,adirect-conversionreceiverisdesignedforhighspeed4FSKradiopag-ingapplications.Variousdesignconsiderationsarediscussedandanalyzed.Azero-crossingbasedcounting/comparings
