2、rtedtheirreformsfromthederegulationofthesupplyside.Therefore,generationcompaniesusuallybecamethefirstgroupofentitieswhomanagetheiroperation,accountinganddecision-makingindependently.Initiallygenerationcompanies’objectiveisonlytomaximizetheirprofit,however’thecrisisofCalifo
3、rniaelectricitymarketin2000and2001arousegreatattentiontotheproblemofriskmanagementforelectricpowercorporations.Afterintroducingtheriskmanagement,thedecision-makingofgenerationcompaniesshiftsfromasingle—objectiveoptimizationtoabi-objectiveoptimization.Thefirstobjectiveismax
4、imizingexpectedprofitwhilethesecondobjectiveisminimizingtheassociatedrisks.Thesolutionofabi—objectiveoptimizationisacurve,namelytheParetoFrontieronatwo-dimensionalcoordinatesifregardingthetwoobjectivesasthetwoaxes.Thelocationofthesolutiononthefrontierthereforedependsonthet
