3、overshoot,decayconstant,naturalequivalentofapowersystemfromthetransientfeaturesoffrequencyofoscillation,etcareutilizedasinputfeaturestothelocalgeneratorisproposed.Transientstabilityindicespredictparametersoftheequivalentmachine.Twoartificiallikethepeakovershoot,d
4、ecayconstantandfrequencyofneuralnetworks--theback-propagation(BP)andradialbasisoscillationsareusedasinputfeaturestotrainback-function(RBF)weretrained.RBFnetswerefoundtobepropagationandradial-basisfunctionartificialneuralsuperiortotheBPnetworkinthisestimationproce
5、ss.networks.Simulationresultsindicatethattheradial-basisfunctionnetworkcanestimatetheparametersofthedynamicTHEPOWERSYSTEMPROBLEMmodelwithsufficientaccuracy.ModernpowernetworksarehighlycomplicatedsystemsINTRODUCTIONcontainingahugenumberofgenerators,transmissionnet
6、works,loadsetc.Becauseofloadgrowth,thesystemsizesAssessmentofdynamicperformanceofapowersystemareevergrowing.Additionofanewplantrequires,inturn,aisacomplexprocedurebecauseoftheverylargenumberoflargenumberofplanningstudies.Thedynamicstudyisonegeneratingunitsandthei
7、rassociatedcontrolelementsinaoftheverycomplicatedanalysesrequiringsolutionofmodernsystem.Effortstofindasuitableequivalentofthehundredsofdifferentialequations.Sinceinsuchstudiesthepowersystemwhichcouldfaithfullyapproximateitsdynamicprimaryconcernisthebehaviorofthe
