2、cessof“presentation-explanation-practice-correction”isstillmainlyusedinEnglishtoChinesetranslationclass.UnderthedirectionofthisEnglishtoChinesetraditionalteachingapproach,students’translationoftenlacksoriginalityandseemstobeinflexible.Therefore,ononehand,itishardtoimprovestudents’actualt
3、ranslationcompetenceandtechniqueseffectively;ontheotherhand,timeforindependentthinkingandcooperativediscussionislimited.Hence,thesedisadvantagescannotcontributetoenhancingstudents’initiative,learninginterestsandcreativityandnogooduseforbetterunderstandingsourcetextsandimprovingthequality
4、oftranslation.Scaffoldinginstructionguidedbyconstructivismtheoryprovidesabrand-newteachingidea,whichisbasedonlearners’practicallevel,andappliesvariousmethodssystematicallyandorderlysoastoguidelearnerstoconstructknowledgeactivelyandthenachievehigherlevel.Andscaffoldinginstructioncanadoptd
