4、dorupwardsleadstoDeyangSharcourtyard,whichwaswhereDalaiLamaswatchedoperas.Aroundthelargeandopencourtyard,therewasaseminaryanddormitories.TheWhitePalaceistothewestofthecourtyard.Therearethreeladderstairstogetinsideofit,butthecentralonewasonlyusedbyDalaiLamasandcentralgov
5、ernors.Inthefirsthallway,therearehugewallpaintingsdescribingthebuildingofPotalaPalaceandJokhangTempleandtheprocessionofPrincessWenchengreaching.Onthesouthwall,visitorswillseeanedictsignedwiththeGreatFifth’shandprint.TheWhitePalacemainlyservesasthepoliticalheadquarterand
6、DalaiLamas’livingquarters.TheWestChamberofSunshineandtheEastChamberofSunshineistheroofoftheWhitePalace.TheybelongedtotheThirteenthDalaiLamaandtheFourteenthDalaiLamarespectively.BeneaththeEastChamberofSunshineisthelargesthallintheWhitePalace,whereDalaiLamascametopower.Th
